Because September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month and today marks one year since my last chemotherapy treatment, I have voluntered to participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma's Society's Light the Night event. The Light The Night Walk brings light to the darkness of cancer by funding lifesaving research and support for people battling cancer. Family, friends and co-workers gather together (this year, individually) to celebrate, honor or remember those touched by cancer. I am lucky to be one year in remission from Hodgkin's Lymphoma and will be walking and fundraising for all of those still affected by cancer and everyone we have lost to the disease. My goal is to raise $1,000, but any money I am able to raise will make such a difference no matter how small it may seem. I will be walking 18 miles in support of the 1.8 million people that have been/are expected to be diagnosed with cancer in 2020. I will be completing the walk during this awareness month! If you'd like to support me on this walk by helping me raise my fundraising goal, I would be eternally grateful! Fight on!!
