As many of you already know, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2013. Over the past 5+ years, I have grown increasingly passionate about fundraising on behalf of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society - an organization that (among many things) assists current patients and funds research for new treatments & potential cures. The annual fundraiser we host helps support the LLS with 25% of entry fees being directly donated to the LLS.
I recently received my 5-year clean bill of health from my Oncologist. This milestone marks what the medical field considers a "cure." Not a single day passes where I forget how blessed and fortunate I am to have made it to this point. But the unfortunate reality is that many still struggle with this disease. If you are unable to attend, please consider donating to a phenomenal organization that aids those who are currently battling and those who may one day succumb to a cancer diagnosis.
